Now you can wear the same shoe as the in-your-face trainers in the British Army's Physical Training Corps. Oi!

UK Gear developed the PT-03 - named for the armed force's rugged "physical training" program - with the help of these demanding instructors.

Lt. Col, Phil Watkins, the Brit army's most senior physical training instructor, first wore the shoes six months ago for a double mountain marathon. He told Manchester's Guardian newspaper he is convinced they will be a success:

"I took them out of the box, put them on and whilst (whilst! Don't you love it?) they are not for fell running (translation: hill races), they performed well. Cross-country, they were superb. I didn't get a single blister."

He has been training in them ever since.
