UK Gear have a unique association with The Army Physical Training Corps, the elite fitness professionals of The British Army. They are closely involved in the development of our products before wear testing them in some of the most demanding conditions on Earth. Only when approved by The British Army do we consider our products... built to survive.

New trainers developed with the Army are going on sale to the public

The PT-03 running shoe, which is emblazoned with the crossed swords logo, is the first commercial product made in association with the Army.

Fitness instructors from the Physical Training Corps put the trainers through six months of tough tests to make sure they could cope with all conditions.

The PT-03 will be available from specialist running shops, priced at £79.

A proportion of the revenue from sales will go back to the Army - but soldiers aren't going to be issued with them automatically.
