Erik N. Weber reviews the PT-1000

Hello Mr. Hubbard,

My name is Erik Weber. I would like to take this opportunity to state my compliments regarding UK Gear shoes, and share my story of how I converted from New Balance to UK Gear.

My older brother, who is a Major in the U.S. Army, came to visit our family house in the fall of 2010. My New Balance shoes were wearing in the tread, the inserts were developing holes, and the shoelaces were extremely unreliable. He handed to me his pair of PT-03 shoes. As soon as I tried them on, that is when I became a fan of UK Gear, and decided to wear UK Gear shoes exclusively. In the Spring of 2011, my brother gave to me a new pair of red and black PT-1000 shoes. UK Gear shoes are my shoes of choice in my competition in Special Olympics as well as my involvement in the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is the largest grassroots fundraising organization for Special Olympics worldwide.

I have been affiliated with Special Olympics as an athlete since 1998. I compete in Softball and Track & Field. I am a gold medalist in Track & Field, Soccer, and Softball. Special Olympics is an organization in which athletes, their families and friends share mutual respect and support with all persons involved.

In April 2011, I attained my goal of running the 400 Meter Race in under a minute, and that was accomplished using the PT-03's. In the Summer Games of 2011 at Long Beach, I competed in the running long jump, shot put, and the 400 Meter Race. For the running long jump and shot put I used the PT-03s. I ran the 400 Meter Race wearing the PT-1000s. Two of the events I got personal best records in. The Running Long Jump in 4.80 Meters, and the 400 Meter race in 58.81 Seconds.

On May 31, 2011, I ran at least 11 of 13 miles from Chula Vista to Mission Bay, with the PT-1000s.

I love the UK Gear shoes because they are durable, light weight, and they fit my feet. When I put them on, they feel as though they are parts of my body.

I also found that UK Gear shoes have more traction on dirt and mud than cleats, and have the best grip on any surface.

Some of my goals include:

  •  Run the 400 Meter Race in under 56 seconds.
  •  Run the 5K in under 20 minutes.
  •  Run 13 miles from Chula Vista to Mission Bay in the Torch Run.
  •  Win my one hundredth Special Olympics Track and Field gold medal.

I am attaching pictures of my Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K in Long Beach, the Summer Games competition, and a photo of me at Point Loma Nazarene University's Track & Field venue (at which I was doing a commercial pitch I formulated for Powerade Zero, which is the best water). These pictures show that I enjoy UK Gear shoes.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. A great catch phrase I created for UK Gear is:

“UK Gear. Be the leader.”

UK Gear shoes are the best.

Sincerely,
Erik N. Weber
