Hi, I just wanted to get back to you and tell you how much I like the XC-09 trail runners.

They are awesome. In fact, no joke, they are the best trail running shoes I have ever worn. And I have tried a good many of them. I will never go back. I will always run in UK-Gear.

First of all, they are extremely comfortable. My foot sits in them very well and the hiking shoe lacing system is wonderful. They are the lightest trail runners I have used and the wide platform is excellent for lateral stability. When I run on sidehills, they support me very well. This is important as you know especially when running in snow or sketchy conditions at night. The base tread pattern seems to work well in all conditions, mud, rocks and snow and gives me a good grip in off-camber situations. I particularly like the footbed in that it is very comfortable and like I said before, my foot sits well in the shoe.
