PT-03 DESERT - Steve Cushing

I saw them advertised in one of the running magazines and seemed just what I needed so bought a pair. Have spent the last 2 weeks running in Tenerife with temperatures up to 30 C, running on dusty, sandy tracks littered with volcanic rocks.

They are the best pair of shoes I have ever run in. Very comfortable, great support and despite running 150 miles in the 2 weeks I had absolutely no problems. Normally when I use a new shoe I will break it in, alternating with my older shoe. Didn't bother with these as were so impressive.

Have just got back and bought the gators and am planning to try them out on the sand dunes near Blackpool. I will update and if they do the job I will certainly be using them in 2009. Incidentally ran in my normal size shoes and despite my feet swelling to some degree still had no problems, so not sure what size I will order.

I know they cost £100 - but if the feet don't hold up I won't be finishing and then all the cost of getting there and the other equipment will have been wasted, so seems worth it.
